Aware Village is an online social networking service that connects people in your personal networks and creates a community. As more people join and connect with others the community grows. Our hope is to create a fun and interesting environment for people who find they have similar interestes and passions.

Once you've registered with Aware Village, you'll invite people you know to join your social network. Your friends will come to Aware Village and invite their friends. As your network grows, you'll have more opportunities to interact easily with everyone you know, make new acquaintances, and use the network's collective knowledge to enrich your life. Social networks are the heart and soul of Aware Village; the larger they are, the more powerful they become.

Your network consists of your friends (people you invite), as well as people you connect you with or who invite you into their network. The larger your network becomes, the more useful and fun it will be; keep growing your network, and you'll have access to more groups, messages, and events.

The Aware Village main menu has an invite link that lets you send messages to your friends who have not joined yet. You can email a customized message that describes Aware Village. When you find a friend at Aware Village, you can add them through the "Add to Friends" link on the right. If you want to find someone on the network, use search to find them by their name or email address.

First, complete your profile, so others can learn more about you. Then, invite more friends to join Aware Village, create a group of your friends and you'll be on your way to connecting your social network.

In the Video section - Under the My Videos & Upload you can upload videos. In the Images section or in the My Bistro section if you click on My Photos you can upload photos.

Currently, all videos that are uploaded are available to any member to view. You can make photos private - when you upload a photo, if you do not check the box “Add this photo to voting”, it will not be available to other members.

Aware Village does not sell the information we collect from our users to third-party companies. One of our core values is that our members create and control their networks, as well as their personal information. Once you join Aware Village, you'll decide exactly what others can learn about you by creating and editing your profile. Some of the information is necessary to make sure we run a responsible network – such as verifying everyone is at least 21 years old. We ask for your geographic information because a social network works best when people can connect with people in their areas for some types of groups or event activities. We ask for name and gender so we may run a responsible network in case some type of problem arises. All of this information can be hidden to other members and we never divulge it to anyone as outlined in our privacy policy.

At this moment our blogs work primarily within the Aware Village system. Very soon, however, we will have full RSS feeds and pinging – which means your blog will be easily available to the entire Internet community
